Artist's Description
Engine 1531 was built in 1910 in Quebec and began service as Engine 1322 with CN Railway. It was decommissioned in the late 1950s and CN Railway donated the engine and tender box to the city in 1960. The caboose followed in 1995.
The City of Barrie will maintain ownership of these pieces and has partnered with the Simcoe County Museum to restore and house them.
